The Battle of the Two Ice Queens

“Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. But what happens when you don’t know who’s who?”

That was a brilliant opening by Andy Cohen on the topic of the friendship in the group, but especially with Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks.

It seems like it’s another reunion where it’s Lisa against everybody, but this year she’s in the hot seat for several reasons.

She was a pot stirrer who tried to cover up her own tracks. 

She was a sore loser who was incapable to acknowledge any wrongdoings and played the victim.

And then there was the hot mic moment.

Andy even stated at it seems like Lisa is having a lot of important conversation off camera this season, and it’s true. 

It looks manipulative. She even tried it again at the reunion with Meredith, several times.

Meredith has every right to be upset with Lisa, but why is Heather Gay and Whitney Rose ganging up on her?

I know it’s frustrating witnessing someone failing to take accountability and acting remorseful, but they should let Meredith hold her own grown.

She’s doing a phenomenal job on her own at this reunion. 

Lawyer Meredith Marks was slowly but surely making her case at this reunion.

But Lisa sounds more angry than remorseful. Was she sorry for what she had done or was she sorry she got caught?

The thing about the hot mic moment is how it makes Lisa look. Who’s the real Lisa Barlow?

The venom in her voice in that hot mic moment suggest that there’s real emotion behind her words. Andy even called it a “truth dump”.

Lisa claimed that she didn’t mean those things, but Whitney inserted herself.

She told Meredith that Lisa had said that before they had even filmed, and that Meredith should talk to SaraJane Warner.

It seems like Lisa’s friends are betraying her this year. First Angie Harrington and now Sarah Jane.

I knew that the argument at Shabbat dinner in the premiere episode created issues between them, and I was right.

Is there even a future for their friendship?

Uncharitable Friends and Caterers

Lisa Barlow introduced us to some new friends in this episode, SaraJane Warner and Angie Harrington.

Angie reminded me so much of Sarah Paulson! Sarah could sneak into this show as a stand in for Angie.

I’m not that into influencers or bloggers, but after a quick research there’s a lot of influencers and bloggers that are Mormons.

There was a lot of speculations if these influencers was going to be the housewives on RHOSLC.

Bravo ended up with casting former members of the Mormon Church and Mormons 2.0 instead. 

But SaraJane and Angie are actually two of these rumored bloggers.

There has been so much talk about Angie that it was nice to finally meet her. She even had a confessional in this episode!

She’s also a former member of the Mormon Church as she has a transgender child and she won’t support a religion until it respect every person equally.

That’s so brave and admirable. I can imagine the outrage once again over at Salt Lake City over the representation of their religion.

She was hosting a charity event where you would gamble for charity that supported the LGBTQ+ community.

With the booze, gambling and focus on LGBTQ+ this was apparently a scandalous event for the neighbourhood, according to Jen Shah.

And even if someone donated $1.million to the charity, Angie was still upset. 

She took Lisa aside and confronted her about her suspicious mind.

The caterers cancelled last minute and people thought that Lisa had sabotaged her event.

Lisa reacted guilty as fuck at the accusation though.

Wasn’t she projecting, deflecting, lying and crying here? Has she been studying Jen’s MO?

It’s easy to believe that Lisa had sabotaged Angie’s event, because we’ve seen Lisa’s behind the scenes manipulations before.

She did it to Whitney Rose when she talked badly of her servers, so she threatened her about exposing her as a swinger.

Lisa holds onto grudges and she acted very offended by this accusation. 

Will we see Angie again after betraying Lisa like this?

She came in hot as a friend. Maybe a little too hot?
